Our Commitment
We at Gift A Sketch are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the personal information you give us, such as your billing, delivery and e-mail addresses, to process and keep you informed of your order. You may, from time to time, receive information from us about new features, new services and special offers we think you’ll find valuable. Under no circumstances do we rent, trade or share your e-mail address with any other company for marketing purposes.
Privacy Policy
We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. Ever.
Delivery Policy
Please allow between 2 – 3 weeks from commissioning your painting to receiving it. We need to make sure the oils have sufficiently dried before we can safely deliver your oil painting to you. Your painting will be delivered by Blue Dart and DTDC special delivery services. Special delivery means that you will receive your painting the next day. We will of course notify you of your own personal delivery date.
Deposits – Portraits from Photographs
A 35% non-refundable deposit is required to commission a portrait based on a photograph. If you are not satisfied with your portrait and would like the artist to make changes, your artist will be happy to do so. Changes requested must be written down by you in an email or WhatsApp to avoid any confusion. Gift A Sketch will then pass on your instructions to your artist. A new photograph will then be taken of your amended portrait and be sent to you for your approval. If you still would like alterations, your artist will be happy to do so (within reason) until you are delighted with your painting. Upon approval, you will then be asked to settle the remaining balance and once the oils have sufficiently dried we will then post your painting at your provided address. It is important to note, that once you have approved your portrait, no further alterations can or will be made and no refund can be given.
Refund Policy
We are unable to refund paintings that are personally and specifically designed for a customer, which includes portrait paintings of people, animals and houses. All paintings will be of the same standard as shown on the website and the client can request unlimited changes. However, once you have approved your portrait, no further alterations can be made and since Gift A Sketch will be unable to resell such paintings, no money back offer can be given.
Copyright Policy
In terms of photographs or images supplied to Gift A Sketch, it is the customer’s responsibility to make sure these images are either copyright free or that the customer has permission to use and supply the images to Gift A Sketch. Gift A Sketch warrants that the customer either owns or has obtained copyright(s) or copyright permission to any image which is supplied to Gift A Sketch for use and the customer agrees to assume full legal and financial responsibility for any copyright suit or action which may take place regarding materials customer has supplied.
Data Protection Policy
Any personal data which we collect, record or use in any way whether it is held on paper, on computer or other media will have appropriate safeguards applied to.
